Challenges, Badges and the Big Picture in Wayfare
Contents
Wayfare is my pedometer, and I built it to be calm. Besides counting steps it has three things that help you keep going without feeling watched.
Your own challenges
You choose a challenge yourself and start from your own recent results. For example: 1 km in 7 days, 5 days with 6,500+ steps, or 10 active minutes in a week. The app offers a starting point based on what you have actually walked, so a goal feels reachable instead of imposed.
Badges
Badges mark real milestones: your first step, a week in a row at or above your goal, a brisk walk, 42 km in a week, 100 km by bike, a million steps in total. There is nothing to buy and nothing to lose.
Week, month and year
The statistics screen shows your average, best day, total steps and active minutes by week, month and year, plus the history of your walks. One day matters less when you can see the whole picture.
What it costs
Wayfare is free, has no ads and is available in 8 languages. It is Android only, on Google Play.
What I don't promise
No weather, no widgets, and no warnings like "your streak is at risk". That is on purpose.
